Create the key
In Settings, open API keys and select Create key. Give it a name you will recognize, such as the application or environment that will use it.
Choose read-only or read-and-write access. Select one service or all services, an expiry date or no expiry, and any request limit your integration needs. You need permission to manage keys in the workspace.
Store the secret
Copy the new secret when it is shown. Store it in a server-side environment variable or secret manager. Do not put it in browser code, a public repository, or a support message.
Check it
Run the Check an API key example. It sends an authenticated request to the identity endpoint and prints the key’s workspace, permission, and scope. This check counts as a request against the key’s limit.
