Who these terms cover
These draft terms concern access to ajar’s website, workspace, APIs, and connectors, operated by Bennett Blackham. Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@useajar.com.
Accounts and access
Provide accurate account information and keep sign-in access and API keys secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize in your workspace. Only invite users and grant permissions you are entitled to provide. Organization accounts require approval through the contact process.
Permitted use
Use ajar only for lawful, authorized purposes. Do not use the service to access accounts or data without permission, evade security controls, distribute malicious code, commit fraud, or disrupt services. Access to a connector does not grant permission to use another person’s account or override a third party’s terms.
Connectors and availability
Supported operations and availability vary by service. Planned connectors are not a promise of delivery. Tool previews show example behavior and do not execute live provider requests. Third-party services may change, restrict, or discontinue their interfaces, which may affect a connector.
Your data and instructions
You retain rights to the material you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and instruct ajar to process it. Requests that create commitments, change accounts, or make purchases require your authorization. Personal information is addressed in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and charges
Any paid plan must state its price, billing interval, usage charges, renewal conditions, cancellation process, and refund terms before purchase. This draft does not establish prices or authorize charges. Mandatory consumer rights remain applicable.
Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted to address unauthorized activity, abuse, or a security risk. Where appropriate, the operator should explain the reason and provide a way to resolve it. Account closure, data export, and deletion procedures must be finalized before these terms take effect.
Responsibility and disputes
Ajar cannot guarantee the availability or accuracy of third-party services. Review results before relying on them for consequential decisions. Liability terms, the governing law, and the dispute process must be confirmed for the operator and its customers before publication. Nothing in these draft terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
